kele directs the development, implementation, and evaluation of professional development and community programs offered by OLT. Her role has University-wide scope, supporting the efforts of faculty, students, and staff who use technology to advance their learning and teaching goals.

Cindy Underhill

Learning Resource Designer

Cindy is engaged in a variety of projects related to the development of web based resources to support learners. She’s interested in the application of social web approaches to support learning – wherever it happens. Cindy’s been a college instructor, considers herself a learner, is proud to be an amateur at most things and has been involved with educational technology and distance learning for the past several years at UBC.
Brian Lamb

Manager, Emerging Technologies and Digital Content

Brian does his best to keep up with the constant developments and new applications of learning technology at UBC and beyond. He also teaches a course on “Text Technologies: The Changing Spaces of Reading and Writing” for UBC’s Master of Educational Technology program. He mutters ill-tempered observations on social learning, open education, disruptive technologies and other such things on his weblog, Abject Learning.
Connie Kraus

Senior Program Assistant

Connie is the Community Learning and Engagement Workshop Logistics Coordinator for the Learning Technology Institute, and Teaching and Learning with Technology Series of workshops and talks on campus.
Catherine Paul

Community of Practice Facilitator

Catherine builds communities on campus around teaching and learning with technology by organizing Community of Practice meetings, facilitating workshops, and working as a project manager. Catherine also coordinates the programming and delivery of the Teaching and Learning with Technology series.
Emily Renoe

Learning Technology Specialist

Emily assists, supports and trains faculty and staff in the WebCT Vista environment, as well as other emerging web technologies. She has worked in the IT industry for over 10 years and previously worked as a Technical Trainer in the private sector.

Dianne Mackay

Manager, Marketing and Communications

Dianne is responsible for overseeing brand strategy, developing strategic communications plans, directing marketing campaigns and facilitating relationships between OLT and partners on campus. She loves everything about her job. There is never a dull moment in marketing and communications: every day brings new challenges and rewards.
Dee Delaplace

Communications and Course Scheduling Coordinator

Dee coordinates the scheduling of all OLT distance education courses with the respective Faculties. She also helps the marketing and communications team with the collection of enrollment and statistical information.
Zack Lee

Marketing and Special Events Coordinator

Zack coordinates the logistics for the special events that OLT is involved in such as the Canadian e-Learning Conference and the Open Education Conference. He is interested in the effects of technology on literacy and the creation of new forms of expression.
Michael Wong

Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Michael assists with the development and implementation of marketing and communications initiatives at OLT. He also designs visual identities and layouts for print and online materials, coordinates articles and copy for the OLT website, and assists with event organization.
