EDUCamp 2010 offered attendees a day of thinking and learning about sustainability education and the value of learning technologies. In two sessions, attendees found out about the UBC Community Service Learning initiatives and learned the basics of podcasting.
EDUCamp’s second session, the Great Debate, brought together six educators and students to debate the relevancy of social media in higher education. The stage was set for an informative session that featured some humorous takes on the pros and cons of social media.
Sustainability Education was the theme of EDUCamp 2010 and we were very pleased to have Duane Elverum start things off with an incredible keynote presentation. His presentation touched on the core challenges of universities as they attempt to educate the leaders and workers of the next generation.
