Community Learning

OLT’s Community Learning and Engagement (CLE) team partners with faculty support organizations, academic service units and technology providers in order to facilitate knowledge-transfer, best practice development, collaborative project management and community-building. These programs and activities create bridges within UBC, encouraging rapid dissemination and implementation of effective technology-enhanced learning and teaching practices and resources amongst colleagues and peers. Our external liaison work, with organizations such as the Educause Learning Initiative (ELI), BC’s Educational Technology Users Group (ETUG), BCcampus, and the Open Education Consortium, facilitates networking between UBC and its academic and professional colleagues, opening up additional opportunities for collaboration that bring new ideas and practices to UBC.
